New “boss” getting to grips with YDC
It’s great to see Vonz making such an enthusiastic and popular start to her reign as YDC “boss”. She’s managed to introduce a few new ideas, such as the YDC Team concept without ruffling too many (any?) feathers and there’s a real energy and positivity about this month’s YDC that’s been, sadly, lacking for a while.
Somehow the previous two incumbents just didn’t seem to have any success getting the gang onboard - maybe Vonz was just lucky to pick up the role at a point where everybody realised if they didn’t stop shooting the messenger there’d be no YDC left! But I also think she has a real flair for the job, and that’s added to any luck and goodwill to produce something really positive. Good for her!
I’m very happy to be part of the YDC Team, and it’s great to feel that you can make a positive contribution without being suspected of some sort of Machiavellian takeover bid - yes, things really did get that sour lately. I suppose you could say that eBid Widgets is “sponsoring” YDC to some extent, in that I’m giving my time freely to be the official Twitter face of YDC - and I’m enjoying doing it. So far YDC hasn’t really made the most of the social networking possibilities - who can blame it, it’s a heck of an overhead for a volunteer - but with the new “YDC Team” concept it all becomes more possible.
Hurrah for the YDC Team, for Vonz, and for the buyers and sellers of eBid.net who make it all possible. Onwards and upwards!
