It’s worth knowing that you can select or deselect certain emails and notices via your “My eBid > My Emails” page. The options you can choose from are:
My Watchlist - Added
Email sent when you add an auction to your Watchlist.
My Watchlist - Bid Made
Email sent when a bid is made on an auction you are watching.
My Watchlist - 24 Hour Warning
Email sent when there is 24 hrs left on an auction you are watching.
My Watchlist - 1hr Warning
Email sent when there is only 1 hr left on an auction you are watching.
My Watchlist - Results
Email sent showing the results of an auction you were watching.
My Watchlist - Auto-Repost
Email sent when an auction you were watching is auto-reposted after closing.
My Current Auctions (Bidding) - Bid Confirmation
Email sent showing confirmation of the bid you have just made.
My Current Auctions (Bidding) - Proxy Bid Confirmation
Email sent showing confirmation of a bid made on your behalf by us (a proxy bid).

Certain of those options, such as the auctions reposted one, will produce a single summary email rather than individuals if too many are generated in one go. It’s probably better to start out receiving most if not all of them, and then find out which ones you discover to be useful. I am often surprised that people choose not to keep sale notices after they’ve been received - in my experience it’s best to file such things away as they can sometimes be the only route left to useful information when things go wrong. Disc space is cheap - keep everything until you’re sure you don’t need it… then keep it a bit longer.
